Job Title: Patient Care Associate

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team in the Cardiac Stepdown Department. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification, or EMT certification, or enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
