Job Title: Patient Care Associate

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join our team. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Associate will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and equipment
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
Qualifications

To be successful as a Patient Care Associate, you will need to have a High School diploma or equivalent and a strong commitment to patient care. Preferred qualifications include phlebotomy experience, Basic Life Support certification, and PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting.
