Job Title: Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at St. Joseph's Health. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Associate is responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and equipment
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred, but will train
  • One of the following certifications: PCA/PCT, CNA, EMT, or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
