Job Overview

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following:

  • PCA/PCT (Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician) diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience within the last 6 months in an healthcare setting.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification.
  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification.
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification.
Preferred Qualifications

Phlebotomy experience and Basic Life Support certification are preferred but not required.
