Job Overview

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team in the Cardiac Stepdown Department. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting, or
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or
  • PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification, or
  • EMT certification, or
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Basic Life Support certification
