St. Joseph's Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification, or EMT certification, or enrollment in an accredited nursing school program with completion of Nursing Fundamentals level coursework.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Basic Life Support certification.
