Work Schedule:

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Conducting hospital rounds for surgical consultations and patient follow-ups
  • Assisting supervising physicians with discharge planning and post-discharge care coordination
  • Acting as surgical first-assist during procedures
  • Maintaining patient safety and comfort during surgical operations
  • Participating in on-call services for surgical specialties
  • Providing emergency care related to surgical needs
  • Documenting patient care accurately in medical records
  • Supporting the effectiveness of supervising physicians through teamwork and mentorship
  • Contributing to workflow improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Studies
  • Minimum of 2 years in cardiology, cardiovascular, or related surgical specialty

Licensure and Certification:

  • State of Florida ARNP Licensure
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ongoing education required to maintain licensure

Job Overview:
