Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems Technician

This position focuses on the installation, programming, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems, including brands such as Simplex, Fike, Kidde, Inergen, Sapphire, FM-200, and CO2 across various client locations. Below are the key responsibilities:

  • Timely Execution: Complete projects within designated timeframes and budget.
  • Problem Resolution: Address discrepancies and coordination challenges effectively.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Installation Coordination: Collaborate with other trades during installation processes.
  • Customer Training: Educate clients on the operation of installed systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely project records.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and policies.
  • On-Call Participation: Be available for on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, Paging systems, Intrusion & CCTV.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Capability to obtain necessary licenses.
  • Physical ability to manage equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
