Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Renovation Technician to join our team at The Hearthstone. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality renovation services to our communities, ensuring that our residents enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all renovations to communities, including framing, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, light electrical, appliance installation, cabinet installation, and carpentry.
  • Respond promptly to complete assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and guidelines, including OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and care for all equipment entrusted to your responsibility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accept responsibilities assigned by management and accomplish related tasks in a timely manner, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Perform technical and mechanical work to refurbish and rebuild internal and external community buildings, amenities, and common areas, meeting The Hearthstone standards for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, painting, drywall, and carpentry is required, with a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one to three years' experience in construction or remodeling, with a strong emphasis on renovation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting (up to 60 lbs), with the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, infectious diseases, dust, dirt, sawdust, paint, primer, and glue, with a strong emphasis on safety and personal protective equipment.
