Apartment Make-Ready Technician/Painter Job Description

Aspen Square Management is seeking a skilled Apartment Make-Ready Technician/Painter to ensure our apartment homes meet company standards for future residents. This role requires a strong background in painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure apartments are up to company standard for future residents
  • Maintain the grounds of the apartment community as needed
  • Perform drywall repairs and painting of interior walls
  • Change out light fixtures, electrical outlets/switches, and plumbing fixtures
  • Replace laminate countertops, reface cabinets, and install new hardware
  • Install new bathroom vanities and hardware
  • Physically install and remove appliances
  • Perform routine maintenance or repair in the apartment home to ensure proper function before new resident moves in
Requirements:
  • 3+ years demonstrated work in the painter trade, showing multiple skills within the paint trade
  • Similar type apartment paint work experience as well as paint applications to wood and stucco buildings
  • Knowledge and ability to perform minor drywall repairs
  • Job site preparation-unloading tools, laying out drop cloths or paper to protect ground surfaces
  • Ability to meet critical timelines and work independently or in teams
  • Experience with residential remodeling
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, driven and dedicated attitude
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Reliable transportation & ownership of basic hand tools
