Position Summary:
The Quality Control Technician in Ink Manufacturing is responsible for conducting both chemical and physical testing of specialized pigment and ink products for the electrophoretic display sector. This role involves testing in-process samples as well as final product evaluations.
The technician will report directly to the Senior Supervisor of Ink Manufacturing Quality Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document test results and input them into the designated database.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) methodologies.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on products, materials, and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform measurements, analyze data, and document test outcomes with precision.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or defects in materials or products.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality-related challenges.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and instruments.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards in all quality control processes.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
- A GED or High School Diploma accompanied by 3+ years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing setting may substitute for an Associate's Degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels across various departments.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and Windows.
