Job Summary:

The Mercy Health System is seeking a highly skilled PACS System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and maintenance for RIS and PACS systems
Ensure proper operation of DICOM digital image data transfer into the PACS and CPACS from all radiology and cardiology modalities
Maintain PACS user accounts database and utilize PACS administration software to maintain and update all application tables
Integrate RIS, PACS, and CPACS into clinical and business operations of the company
Develop and implement testing programs to ensure reliability of computerized procedures in compliance with federal regulations

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited AMA radiological training program or equivalent with work experience in a radiology department
Knowledge of workstations and server administration, HL7 interfaces, DICOM interfaces, and overall network infrastructure and related SQL databases
PACS experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and project components

Education and Experience:

ARRT certified or 10 years relevant Radiology or Cardiology experience

Skills and Abilities:

Experience with and demonstrates competence in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to work independently and be result oriented
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and project components
