Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Join our team at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology, a leading provider of neurological care, as a Patient Care Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the best possible care experience for our patients and their families.

About the Role:

This fast-paced position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate patient care from check-in to check-out, following provider instructions and ensuring that all necessary information is available for upcoming visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients warmly and verifies demographics and insurance information
  • Collects copays as needed and scans outside records brought to the visit
  • Facilitates priority communications between patients and providers via phone, portal, web, chat, and/or fax
  • Performs the check-out process, including making appointments and coordinating provider orders
  • Sends summary of care to outside providers and assists patients with insurance forms
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of previous medical office experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Ability to support multiple providers and priorities, meeting deadlines and troubleshooting/resolving issues as needed
  • Patient-centered with strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
