Job Description:

URBN is seeking an experienced Payroll Associate to join our team. This exciting role will involve processing biweekly payroll for 15 entities and weekly payroll for 1 entity, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll for 15 entities and weekly payroll for 1 entity, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring changes are updated correctly and promptly.
  • Review and verify payroll documentation for accuracy, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Audit reports and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with payroll and tax laws.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to employee queries and resolving payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a good understanding of payroll and tax laws, with Canadian experience being a plus.
  • Enter payroll information into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process off-cycle and final paychecks, meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Work independently on ongoing projects and special assignments, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including W2s and T4s, ensuring accurate and timely completion.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of high-volume payroll experience is required, with a strong understanding of payroll and tax laws.
  • A high school diploma is required, with a focus on mathematics and business.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and follow-up skills are essential, with the ability to thrive in a high-volume team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required, with the ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Sound decision-making skills are essential, with the ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with UKG Pro software is highly desired, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail is required, with the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
