Clinical Research Coordinator Senior Job Description

The University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator Senior to join our team in the Department of Neurology. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple local and multi-institutional clinical research studies related to traumatic brain injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement study protocols, manage contracts and IRB regulatory issues, and oversee clinical trial data management.
  • Participate in the development of study procedures, including subject recruitment, enrollment, retention, and follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance and maintenance with IRB and other regulatory documentation.
  • Oversee group data management practices and develop and manage standard operating procedures for the research group.
  • Collaborate with research assistants and coordinators to ensure the successful completion of research studies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to exercise discretion with confidential information.
  • Highly organized and flexible.
  • Knowledge of PC applications and research databases (Microsoft Excel, RedCap, etc... preferred).
  • At least 2-3 years of clinical research trials experience.
