Despite serving a demographic with a significant proportion of minority and low-income students, our state assessment results consistently surpass district averages. Notable achievements include:

  • Sacramento Charter High School was acknowledged by the California Charter Schools Association for being the top-performing high school for black students in California.
  • PS7 and Sacramento Charter High School were recognized as California Education Champions by the National Action Network for being among the top 25% of schools in California.
  • PS7 has received the Title 1 Achievement Award and has been recognized as a California Distinguished School.
  • In 2020, 93% of Sac High scholars were accepted into four-year colleges, with 100% meeting UC/CSU requirements.

Core Responsibilities

The Head Coach is tasked with the leadership, management, organization, and development of the girls soccer team. This role includes supervising assistant coaches and collaborating with the Principal and Athletic Director to implement a program that aligns with the school's vision for student-athletes.

Key Duties Include:

  • Ensuring compliance with athletic department expectations and maintaining communication with school administration.
  • Managing team logistics, including scheduling practices and competitions.
  • Coordinating transportation and tournament participation.
  • Maintaining a budget and overseeing equipment management.
  • Fostering a positive team culture and ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all athletes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to the mission of St. HOPE Public Schools, demonstrated coaching experience, and the ability to lead and inspire both athletes and fellow coaches. A passion for education and a dedication to student development are essential.
