Position Summary:
We are seeking a MTS 3 - Hardware professional to join our Hughes Network Systems division. This role is essential in driving the development and validation of Radio Frequency (RF) circuitry and components critical to our satellite modem operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of RF circuitry for satellite modems, ensuring performance validation and testing.
  • Serve as the primary engineering contact for external vendors, establishing testing protocols to validate RF performance.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to define functional requirements, optimizing component selection and design processes.
  • Utilize LabView and similar tools for RF testing and validation, updating and developing new codes for Physical Layer tests.
  • Implement circuit simulation tools and perform high-speed signal integrity analysis throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate with software and firmware teams to address emerging issues in baseband circuitry.
  • Design and execute System Verification Test (SVT) plans to assess LTE and satellite performance of hybrid modem products.
  • Identify and resolve RF issues at the systems level, conducting signal integrity analysis across the RF chain.
  • Provide electrical engineering insights to address high-level process and product challenges, recommending improvements.
  • Conduct product failure analysis, delivering root-cause assessments and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 months of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a related role.
Specialized Skills:
  • Experience in radio frequency and signal integrity testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in drafting electrical engineering schematics for RF or Microwave circuit design.
  • Familiarity with LabView software.
