We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrical Specialist to join our team at LEAD Staffing. As a key member of our industrial and marine staffing division, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on board ships.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Systems Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals, including shipboard electrical systems, to include both 115- and 450-volt ungrounded systems.
- System Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance requirements (PMS) on 3000 Series MIPS for shipboard systems, including inspections and assessments of electrical equipment.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot fundamental electrical components in support of AC/heating and ventilation systems repair, as well as Galley and Scullery shipboard systems.
- Electrical Hook-up: Accomplish electrical hook-up in accordance with disconnect sheets/drawings, and read isometric wiring, block, and cable routing drawings.
- Project Management: Lead electrical projects, including layout of electrical equipment, and ensure compliance with NAVSEA STD Items 009-22 and 009-73.
- Electrical Experience: Must have navy repair/marine electrical or prior military electrical experience.
- Technical Skills: Familiar with WAF/Tag-out procedures, electrical test equipment, and able to read and interpret technical documents.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive Compensation: Offered a competitive hourly rate of $36.00 to $40.00/hour.
