Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
1. Lead the design of circuit boards for the VBAT aircraft and its associated equipment, focusing on complex system architectures that incorporate custom circuitry (power management, analog, digital, servos, microcontrollers, sensors, radios, etc.).
2. Support the design and integration of intricate embedded systems and sensors that facilitate VBAT autonomy and AI capabilities.
3. Manage part selection, schematic capture, simulation, analysis, verification, debugging, and production release.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, embedded, software, manufacturing, and supply chain.
5. Oversee project timelines and deliverables while conducting and participating in design reviews.
6. Work closely with CAD engineers for PCB layout (Altium) and interface with customers and contractors regarding design execution.
7. Provide constructive feedback on team projects and mentor colleagues when possible.
8. Develop automated testing solutions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in product design involving electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
- Proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, and circuit testing.
- A strong track record of reliability, teamwork, and high standards of work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems.
- Background in fast-paced environments, particularly in startup or R&D settings.
- Ability to adapt and innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $114,295 - $171,443 annually, complemented by bonuses, benefits, and equity options.
