Overview:
This position reports to the Library Director and plays a crucial role in enhancing the wellness initiatives for the TUC community. The Evening Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing library activities during evening hours from Monday to Thursday, ensuring a supportive and welcoming environment for all users. This role includes management responsibilities and various library processing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Campus Wellness Initiatives:
  • Collaborates with the Library Team and Student Affairs to promote wellness programs within the Library.
  • Plans and executes library events and exhibits focused on wellness and work-life balance.
  • Connects students with wellness resources available in the Library.

Library Operations Management:
  • Supervises student assistants employed through federal work-study or Library payroll, including hiring, training, scheduling, and approving timesheets.
  • Ensures effective transition between daytime and evening staffing while managing library operations during evening hours.
  • Oversees the safe shutdown of equipment and proper closing procedures for the Library.
  • Provides customer service for circulation, printing, network access, and basic reference inquiries, directing complex research questions to the appropriate librarian.
  • Maintains an organized and inviting library space through regular upkeep and reshelving.

Safety and Security Management:
  • Submits daily reports to the Library Director regarding any facility or operational issues encountered during evening shifts.
  • Acts as a designated Campus Security Authority in compliance with relevant regulations.

Processing Support:
  • Assists in verifying links in resource guides and reading lists.
  • Contributes to archives processing tasks.
  • Checks and updates educational test materials after circulation and supports other special projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises a team of 4-6 student assistants, ensuring effective training and management practices.

Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree is required.
  • Prior experience in a library setting is essential.
  • Previous supervisory and management experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an academic institution is preferred.

Salary Range:
Minimum: USD $23,196.00/Yr. | Maximum: USD $28,995.00/Yr.
