Position Overview

The Director will spearhead all initiatives related to the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) at Miami Dade College, providing transformative leadership in the creation and execution of a comprehensive five-year strategy. This role is pivotal within the Office of Academic Affairs, establishing a collaborative framework across the College and ensuring the effective enactment of the QEP to enhance student learning and success, in accordance with institutional goals and accreditation standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and articulate the QEP framework, effectively communicating its objectives to faculty, staff, and students to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, and College leadership, to facilitate the dissemination and ongoing assessment of QEP initiatives.
  • Collaborate with institutional effectiveness teams to leverage data analytics in aligning QEP goals with measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the design and execution of strategies, curricula, and professional development initiatives necessary for achieving QEP objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updates of the QEP website in collaboration with relevant College personnel.
  • Work alongside the Center for Institutional and Organizational Learning (CIOL) to provide professional development opportunities aligned with QEP initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and monitor reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate the activities of the QEP College-wide committee and its subcommittees.
  • Act as a liaison with external stakeholders to gather insights for QEP development and implementation.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the QEP across all campuses, including training and workshops.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of QEP progress and performance, including bi-monthly reporting.
  • Lead the QEP Assessment Plan, conducting annual assessments of student learning outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and data related to the QEP and oversee the production of annual and final reports.
  • Manage the QEP budget and associated personnel.
  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy to raise awareness of the QEP within the College community.
  • Provide regular updates to College leadership regarding QEP progress and achievements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree with five (5) years of experience in higher education project management or a related field; or Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience.
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of College operations, goals, and policies.
  • Proven ability to implement College-wide projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with QEP standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Expertise in operational planning and academic program management.
  • Knowledge of educational research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage resources, including staffing and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster partnerships.
  • Understanding of financial management in a complex organizational context.
  • Awareness of technological advancements in higher education.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Essential Position

This position is designated as essential, meaning that in the event of an institutional emergency, the incumbent may be required to remain on-site or report to work to ensure the continuity of College operations.
