Job Summary
The Director will spearhead all initiatives related to the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) at the institution, providing transformative leadership in the formulation and comprehensive execution of a five-year strategy that aligns with the College's mission, vision, and strategic objectives. This pivotal role within the Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for establishing an inclusive framework across the College, implementing a workplan, and overseeing all facets of the QEP aimed at enhancing student learning and success, as outlined by institutional goals and accrediting standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and promote the QEP framework, ensuring clear communication of goals and objectives to faculty, staff, and students for effective implementation.
- Engage with faculty, students, resource groups, and College leadership to disseminate, implement, and continuously assess QEP goals and related activities.
- Collaborate with institutional strategy and effectiveness units to leverage data analytics in aligning QEP goals with desired outcomes.
- Provide leadership in the design and execution of necessary procedures, pedagogies, curricula, and professional development to achieve QEP objectives.
- Maintain and update the QEP website in collaboration with relevant College personnel.
- Work with the Center for Institutional and Organizational Learning (CIOL) to offer professional development opportunities pertinent to QEP initiatives.
- Monitor accreditation standards to ensure compliance and proper reporting.
- Lead the activities of the QEP College-wide committee and its subcommittees.
- Act as a liaison with external stakeholders to gather input for QEP development and execution.
- Coordinate the implementation of the QEP across all campuses, overseeing related training and workshops.
- Prepare detailed analyses of QEP developments, progress, and performance, including bi-monthly reports.
- Oversee the QEP Assessment Plan, ensuring annual formative assessments of student learning outcomes and a summative assessment at the conclusion of the five-year plan.
- Facilitate communication among all relevant constituencies to ensure successful QEP development and implementation.
- Maintain comprehensive records and data on the project, coordinating the production of annual and final reports.
- Manage the QEP budget and personnel effectively.
- Participate in annual meetings as budget permits.
- Collaborate with College personnel to create an awareness and marketing strategy that informs the College community about the QEP's purpose and significance.
- Provide regular updates to the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and College leadership regarding QEP progress and goal attainment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree with five (5) years of experience in higher education project management or a related field; or Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of experience in an academic area related to project management, digital literacy, educational technology, or computer science.
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Comprehensive understanding of College organization, goals, and policies.
- Proven competence in College-wide project implementation and understanding of QEP standards set by accrediting agencies.
- Expertise in operational plan design, project management, and academic program management.
- Knowledge of educational research and assessment methodologies, including data analysis.
- Ability to develop and utilize statistical models for assessing student learning outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate stakeholders.
- Proficient in planning and managing resources, including staffing and budgets.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering community and global partnerships in support of the QEP.
- Knowledge of financial management within a large organization.
- Deep understanding of technological innovations and their implications for higher education.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural environment.
Essential Position
- This position is designated as essential, meaning that in the event of an institutional emergency, employees may be required to remain on-site or report to work to ensure continuity of operations.
Additional Requirements
