Position Overview:

  • Coordinate and execute various financial tasks through the consistent application of established procedures and defined checklists.
  • Establish and enforce financial processes and controls.
  • Manage ongoing responsibilities, project assignments, and additional initiatives effectively.
  • Assess, suggest, and/or implement enhancements that lead to improved operational efficiency.
Maintain account reconciliations and enhance reconciliation controls.

  • Utilize technical accounting expertise, Excel proficiency, and General Ledger knowledge to address issues and identify opportunities for improvement.


  • Collaborate within a team-oriented environment to support departmental efficiency and standardization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute various complex financial tasks, including account analysis, review, and journal entry preparation.
  • Handle Project Costing/Asset Management responsibilities as assigned.
  • Deliver customer service support to all internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in fulfilling all information requests, journal postings, and audit inquiries.

  • Complete all tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance in the preparation of reconciliations, record retention, and year-end closing instructions.


  • Review existing processes and adjust as necessary to ensure timely and accurate completion in line with company policies.


  • Engage in and contribute to regular team meetings.
  • Cross-train with colleagues within the department.
  • Maintain and update documentation for all managed processes.
  • Actively participate in meetings, projects, and audits as required.

Monthly Duties:

  • Complete all assigned Month-End Closing activities.
  • Create and post journal entries.
  • Ensure the completion of system processes.
  • Review and correct journal errors.
  • Prepare and distribute ad hoc reports.
  • Prepare and certify assigned account reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including the creation and utilization of Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel macro functions is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is a plus but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of PeopleSoft or SAP systems is beneficial but not required.

  • Knowledge of SAP/PeopleSoft systems will significantly differentiate candidates.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. Recent graduates will be considered.

  • A minor in accounting or finance may be acceptable.
Preference will be given to candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree with a clear completion timeline (preferred, but minors are acceptable as noted above).

  • Experience is valued; more relevant experience is preferable if there is no directly related degree.
