Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses across various sectors within the Revenue Management & Pricing Organization. This role requires critical evaluation of historical tour series sales, current trends, channel distribution analysis, date assessments, forecasting strategies, and competitive landscape evaluations. A primary focus will be on the execution, upkeep, and analysis of the inventory date strategy for each tour series to align with projected demand and achieve profitable load factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide insights and make informed decisions regarding the composition of analyses.
  • Evaluate data sources and determine the most effective ones for building analyses.
  • Utilize analytical findings to inform date strategy decisions for the organization.
  • Examine pricing models, forecasting strategies, yield management reports, sales data, and competitive factors to support the administration of date strategy plans.
  • Conduct necessary analyses for date strategy, including historical tour sales and upgrade sales, in collaboration with senior team members to optimize contracting costs while meeting demand.
  • Continuously audit tour series to identify necessary adjustments in departure numbers.
  • Review daily bookings to assess the need for inventory modifications.
  • Work alongside Yield Management to analyze tour series and review forecasts.
  • Assist Yield Management in reporting and analyzing forecasted loads for each departure date, making adjustments to support revenue goals.
  • Evaluate and act on reports and recommendations from the Align Alytic Yield Management System.
  • Assess discount strategies and implement changes to enhance load factors across all departure dates.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure accuracy in promotional materials.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, pivot tables, and data analytics to facilitate decision-making regarding inventory.
  • Report monthly on strategic inventory goals.
  • Present findings and recommendations to Revenue Management leadership as needed.
  • Identify and communicate forecasted low load departures to the pricing team for potential cost savings.
  • Update and maintain tracking grids for date processes and tour releases.
  • Support the release of products for sale by analyzing historical sales and margins to recommend guaranteed departures and available inventory.
  • Assist Inventory Specialists as demand requires.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Willingness to receive coaching and guidance.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement of analytical and technical skills.
  • A desire to advance within the team.
