Additionally, you will spearhead consumer-facing marketing initiatives, including digital assets and reveal activities. The successful candidate will need to be a strategic, high-energy, and collaborative thought leader with an ambitious spirit and a curious mindset. Creativity, ingenuity, and financial insight will be essential in building foundational insights on how to expand the business. We are looking for someone who can provide insights into what is new and exciting for our consumers, with the capability to translate those opportunities into new revenue streams for the company.

A typical day as a Junior Brand Strategist - Nerf:

Formulate the overall go-to-market product strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement key brand initiatives, including discovering innovative methods to create incremental growth opportunities and develop higher-margin businesses. Exhibit strategic and creative thought leadership while applying consumer and social insights to drive product innovations that better meet and exceed demand. You will be an internal influencer capable of translating ideas into action. Work alongside the global supply chain to identify programs aimed at reducing development costs and enhancing efficiencies where applicable. Assist in creating primary consumer-facing assets for digital marketing, public relations, and other marketing communications. Ensure timely and consistent communication of brand activities and key information to internal business partners. Collaborate with regional marketing teams to understand business needs, retailer trends and challenges, identify growth opportunities, and deliver best-in-class brand plans. Embrace and embody the Nerf consumer mindset in all aspects of strategic thinking, product development, and marketing executions. Take ownership of the P2M, HDM, & Jetpack systems for specific Nerf segments, ensuring strong organization of brand line plans with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

What you will bring:

A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field). An MBA is preferred (additional work experience may be considered in lieu of an MBA). A solid understanding of the steps necessary to bring products to market and implement a fully integrated marketing program. Creative and strategic thinking abilities, with agility and flexibility in thought processes. A motivated self-starter capable of creatively addressing challenges and maximizing available resources. The ability to make informed decisions quickly to maintain performance on track. Collaborative skills; able to work with, obtain information from, and influence internal groups. Business and financial acumen, including analytical skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative information affecting the brand. Strong project management skills; capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. A digital-first mindset. Well-developed verbal, written, and dynamic presentation skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
