Position Overview:

The Strategic Account Sales Specialist is tasked with enhancing MSC's market presence and driving revenue growth within Mid-Market accounts, typically generating between $200,000 and $5,000,000 in potential revenue. This role will manage a portfolio valued at $2M to $4M in annual sales, focusing on accounts that are in the early stages of engagement. The Specialist will work closely with internal teams to identify business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and maintain a thorough understanding of market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insightful Engagement: Provide unique perspectives that align MSC's insights with customer priorities, helping them to view their business through a new lens.
  • Effective Communication: Foster two-way dialogue with customers, linking their business needs to MSC's value propositions.

  • Market Acumen: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and economic factors that impact customer operations.
  • Value Proposition: Clearly articulate the benefits of MSC's solutions in terms of resolving customer challenges and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Sales Momentum: Drive the purchasing process by guiding customers through their decision-making journey.
  • Customized Presentations: Tailor insights and proposals to align with the specific needs and trends of each customer.
  • CRM Utilization: Consistently use our Customer Relationship Management tool to manage customer interactions and sales processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with Subject Matter Experts to deliver specialized knowledge and support to customers.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
