Job Title: Bilingual Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. Job Summary:

The Bilingual Registered Nurse will work in collaboration with the healthcare team to provide direct patient care, develop and implement individualized care plans, and participate in education and training programs. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, cultural background, and language needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure by reciprocal agreement.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and one or more of the following languages: Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to patients, families, and healthcare team members. The Bilingual Registered Nurse will be required to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
