This position is located at the Oregon Department of Corrections Health Services office and may involve working remotely or in a hybrid capacity. As an Administrative Specialist 1, Health Services Grievance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in tracking and completing the grievance appeal process and other correspondence for adults in custody housed at all 12 Department of Corrections' facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function in a centralized role to track and complete the grievance appeal process and other correspondence for adults in custody.
  • Carry out goals and objectives for the administration of the Department of Corrections Health Services Division, including technical, clerical, and administrative support for the Business Operations Unit and other Health Services staff.
  • Provide administrative support in a professional office setting, including records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • Utilize strong administrative office skills, including experience with computer and software systems, such as MS Office, Adobe, and electronic health records.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment and make positive contributions.
  • Maintain a high standard of performance, personal integrity, and conduct.
  • Function well within the demands of a constantly changing work environment.
Requirements
  • Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a medical or other healthcare office environment.
  • Experience applying strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience handling and prioritizing multiple, complex tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in proofreading, editing, and formatting documents for signature.
  • Experience in scheduling and managing professional calendars.
  • Experience working with, understanding, and adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality.
