Position Overview:

The Program Manager will play a crucial role in guiding a team of Project Managers and collaborating with various departments to fulfill program objectives. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Transit Agency contracts: Oversee all aspects of the contract and associated projects, ensuring they are completed within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to align project goals with the Transit Agency's business objectives.
  • Coordinate project delivery: Engage with internal teams, external vendors, and other partners to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Change management: Proactively address changes in project scope to maintain alignment with program goals.
  • Organizational Change Management: Lead initiatives to enhance the benefits derived from our solutions.
  • Risk management: Develop and maintain project Risk Registers to identify and mitigate potential risks early.
  • Governance meetings: Conduct regular meetings with Transit Agency representatives and internal executives to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Team leadership: Mentor and guide project managers and team members, fostering accountability and proactive engagement.
  • Relationship building: Cultivate and strengthen essential business relationships to support program success.
  • Continuous learning: Demonstrate a commitment to understanding the software and hardware aspects of program implementation.
  • Expectation management: Set and manage expectations with team members and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and documentation as required.
  • Best practices: Contribute to the development of best practices and tools for effective program execution.
  • Post-project analysis: Conduct evaluations to identify lessons learned and improve future program delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in program management, overseeing large-scale projects with significant revenue.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with diverse requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Strong background in consulting and business analysis.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in software delivery or systems integration projects.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • PMP certification is preferred or in progress.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
