Key Responsibilities
As our FedRAMP Practice expands, we are looking for senior consultants to ensure we continue delivering high-quality services and expert guidance to our clients. The Senior Consultant will report directly to the FedRAMP Managers and will be a trusted member of the RISCPoint FedRAMP Services Team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading our FedRAMP team and aligning its efforts with the company's vision while executing services that support both client and organizational goals.
  • Providing regular updates to FedRAMP Managers and taking responsibility for client deliverables.
  • Advising clients on information security and compliance programs aligned with industry standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800 Series, and CMMC.
  • Collaborating with client IT leadership as a subject matter expert to enhance their cybersecurity posture across all Information Technology domains, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Facilitating client workshops and meetings to develop and implement cloud governance frameworks across people, processes, and technology controls, positioning client solutions for favorable evaluations.
  • Advising clients on risk and compliance needs, articulating continuous monitoring strategies consistent with relevant cybersecurity standards, including managing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Evaluating the risks and benefits associated with potential cybersecurity decisions for our clients.
  • Coordinating with partners from audit firms, managed service providers, regulators, and other stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes for our clients.
  • Managing and mentoring staff consultants while effectively overseeing a portfolio of engagements.
  • Collaborating with the Public Sector Leadership Team to define necessary skills and staffing levels within the Public Sector practice, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Providing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to staff consultants.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and equivalent work experience.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years in security and privacy risk assessment, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience in leading and managing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Familiarity with or experience as a 3PAO in obtaining FedRAMP Ready or FedRAMP Authorized status for platforms, systems, and applications.
  • Specialized knowledge in creating and/or validating FedRAMP documentation.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, particularly NIST standards (in order of preference): FedRAMP, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA.
  • Proficiency in NIST publications, including NIST SP 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, 800-53A.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences, including client executives.
  • Knowledge of emerging IT and cybersecurity technologies, along with a solid understanding of security fundamentals, including the CIA triad.
  • Familiarity with Authorization Boundary Diagrams (ABD's).
  • Technical experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus.
Certifications:
  • At least one advanced cybersecurity certification such as CISSP (preferred), CISM, CISA, CCSP, or other relevant certifications; multiple certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced vendor-specific cloud-related technology certifications are a plus, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Cisco Cloud, VMWare.
  • PMP and/or Baltimore Cyber Range Certification is a plus.
