Key Responsibilities

Opportunity and Qualifications:

We are in search of candidates at the Manager or Senior Manager level with a specialization in International Tax to operate from our Northeast Ohio offices. We provide a flexible, hybrid work environment.

This role involves assisting clients in navigating complex international and domestic tax challenges. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, timely services, foster strong client relationships, and uphold professionalism. Responsibilities include reviewing tax returns and projects prepared by other tax professionals and mentoring team members on international tax issues. Additionally, this position will represent clients in interactions with tax authorities regarding international tax matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review various tax forms, including Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 8993, along with associated disclosures, ensuring accurate calculations of earnings and profits, tested income, and foreign income inclusions.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry insights and expertise, managing teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects while offering leadership and career development guidance.
  • Establish and nurture client relationships across diverse industries, delivering high-quality tax services and advising on the implementation of international tax structures and processes.
  • Conduct research and prepare materials for consulting projects related to tax planning and considerations.
  • Engage in market and business development activities external to the firm.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in accounting, tax, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • CPA certification is preferred but required only for the Senior Manager level.
  • Extensive knowledge of international tax matters, including trends, developments, and positions of taxing authorities, as well as concepts such as Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits, and U.S. international tax attributes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with experience managing senior-level client relationships and participating in strategic planning initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and mentor others in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated business development skills.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • A strong sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail.
