Role Summary:
As a Senior Cybersecurity IT Specialist, you will lead a dedicated team of IT professionals, delivering exceptional customer support in the planning and execution of IT services. Your responsibilities will encompass the receipt, acceptance, configuration, installation, and relocation of all computing devices and equipment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and rectify security vulnerabilities while implementing Microsoft updates on workstations and servers, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Administer and oversee user accounts within Active Directory, including the management of individual and group Office365 email accounts, CAC certificates, distribution lists, security groups, and shared folder permissions.
  • Assess and enhance standard IT practices to address the intricate challenges associated with hardware and software deployments, imaging, standard configurations, antivirus applications, patch management, group policies, and scripting.
  • Provide continuous support, troubleshoot issues, and recover from operational malfunctions involving various hardware components and software failures.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess IT-related experience that demonstrates the following competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Experience in reviewing IT-related work or data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Customer Service: Proven ability to maintain relationships with clients, assess their IT needs, and develop tailored solutions.
  • Oral Communication: Experience in briefing management and IT staff on system statuses and projects, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify alternatives for complex IT-related issues by gathering and applying information from various sources.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service is required. This includes providing customer support services, user management, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and assistance in response to automated system requirements. Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products in an enterprise environment is essential.

In accordance with DoD policy, the position requires completion of foundational qualifications within specified timeframes.
