KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As our FedRAMP Practice expands, RISCPoint is seeking senior consultants to uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional results and expert guidance to our clients. The Senior Consultant will report directly to FedRAMP Managers and will be a trusted member of the RISCPoint FedRAMP Services Team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership within the FedRAMP team and aligning team efforts with our organizational vision while executing services that support both client and company objectives.
  • Communicating regularly with FedRAMP Managers and taking accountability for client deliverables.
  • Advising clients on information security and compliance programs in line with industry standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800 Series, and CMMC.
  • Collaborating with client IT leadership as a subject matter expert to enhance their cybersecurity posture across all areas of Information Technology, ensuring alignment with their goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating client workshops and meetings to develop and implement cloud governance frameworks across people, processes, and technology controls.
  • Guiding clients in their risk and compliance strategies, articulating continuous monitoring plans consistent with relevant cybersecurity standards.
  • Evaluating the risks and benefits associated with potential cybersecurity decisions for our clients.
  • Coordinating with partners at audit firms, managed service providers, regulators, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable business outcomes for our clients.
  • Managing and mentoring staff consultants while effectively overseeing a portfolio of engagements.
  • Collaborating with the Public Sector Leadership Team to define the necessary skills and staffing levels within the Public Sector practice.
  • Providing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to staff consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years in security and privacy risk assessment, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience in leading and managing projects while adhering to timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Familiarity with obtaining FedRAMP Ready or FedRAMP Authorized status for platforms, systems, and applications.
  • Specialized knowledge in creating and validating FedRAMP documentation.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, particularly NIST (in order of preference): FedRAMP, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NIST publications.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences, including client executives.
  • Awareness of emerging IT and cybersecurity technologies along with a solid understanding of security fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Authorization Boundary Diagrams (ABD's).
  • Technical experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus.

Certifications

  • At least one advanced cybersecurity certification such as CISSP (preferred), CISM, CISA, CCSP, or other relevant certifications; multiple certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced vendor-specific cloud-related technology certifications are a plus, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Cisco Cloud, VMWare, etc.
  • PMP and/or Baltimore Cyber Range Certification is a plus.
