About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Sales and Relationship Manager to join our team at State Street Global Advisors. As a key member of our Client Coverage Group, you will play a critical role in deepening our relationships with insurance companies and expanding our presence in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Execution: Assist the Managing Director of Insurance and team in developing and refining the strategy for the Insurance Segment, ensuring alignment with SSGA's broader commercial objectives.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other parts of State Street to leverage resources and drive holistic client solutions. Navigate complex organizational structures to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Data Driven Insights: Utilize data and analytics to optimize sales strategies and improve client experience. Monitor progress towards sales targets and help adjust targets when needed as progress is made.
  • Client Relationship Management: Partner with Account Executives and Relationship Managers on their respective client and prospect panels, prioritizing activity and pipeline development.
  • Business Development: Help to drive client meeting prep and follow up materials. Work across stakeholders to project manage new business presentations and RFPs where needed.
  • Account Management: Ensure SalesForce accurately captures account information, pipeline, account and competitor intelligence, contact information.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on accounts, including asset pools, consultants, custodians, asset allocation and incumbent managers.
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver timely reporting to stakeholders on progress, including activities, pipeline and target market.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with team and other Officers/Analysts for idea generation, learning and enhancing processes.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in the management of marketing campaigns, ensuring contact information is correct; and delivery to clients is impactful and efficient.

Education and Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in investment management or insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance company needs across balance sheet and annuity platforms
  • Proven track record of success in sales and client relationship management
  • Experience in ETF sales & ecosystem, insurance sensitive products and fixed income preferred
  • Experience as a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Investment industry designations such as CFA or CIMA are a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate industry and product knowledge
  • Ability to build relationships within our team, across our organization, and with our clients
  • Strong ethics, a strong risk radar and dedicated to approach and resolve issues
