Position Overview

Are you a Technical Support Engineer seeking an opportunity to make a significant impact daily? Serco North America is looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to contribute to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program.

The NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is managed by the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC), and NAVFAC regional Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs).

Mission: The primary objective of the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to deliver both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations, ensuring the operational readiness of NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems.

The mission of the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program is to design, procure, integrate, install, and maintain the necessary systems and equipment to safeguard critical assets and personnel from various threats.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various systems including alarms, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection systems, and emergency operation centers.
  • Provide training to personnel, diagnose and resolve product failures, and manage parts replacement as necessary.
  • Advise on the best products or services to meet customer needs based on your expertise.
  • Utilize your experience and judgment to set and achieve goals effectively.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of field experience.
  • The ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Willingness to travel locally and long distances as required, up to 25% of the time.
  • Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Preferred Skills

Additional experience and skills that are advantageous include:

  • Experience with access control systems and related hardware, software, and manufacturers, including CCTV and Mass Notification Systems.
  • Knowledge of various security measures such as barriers, bollards, and hydraulic systems.
