Our Velocity Pump Rental Division is actively seeking an Outside Sales Representative to oversee a new regional territory in Western Nebraska. We are in search of a motivated and accomplished outside salesperson who can identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to enhance our market footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales growth by renting pumps and delivering engineered pumping solutions for various projects.
  • Develop new rental accounts through proactive outreach and personal visits to prospective clients.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients and vendors essential to the rental business.
  • Present comprehensive service offerings to potential customers.
  • Ensure effective communication of project plans and updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rental products, pricing, terms, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate's, Vocational, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in B2B direct sales within the equipment sector is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the rental industry is advantageous.
  • A background in pump equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in selling products with a service component is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in construction management as a foreman or superintendent is a plus.
  • Strong skills in business development and customer retention are essential.

Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of rentals, customer service, and sales techniques.
  • Proven success in outside sales, ideally within the construction or related industries.
  • A robust network of contacts in the construction and contracting sectors.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage your territory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capability to adapt to shifting priorities and demands through analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

  • May involve working under extreme weather conditions.
  • May require close interaction with moving machinery and mechanical components.
  • Exposure to fumes and hazardous materials may occur.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Additional Information

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Overtime may be necessary on short notice.
  • Travel may be required as part of the role.
