Role Overview

The Velocity Pump Rental Division is on the lookout for an Outside Sales Representative to manage a new regional territory in Western Nebraska . We are in search of a motivated and results-oriented sales professional who can identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to enhance our market footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by renting pumps and delivering engineered pumping solutions for various projects.
  • Develop new rental accounts through proactive outreach and in-person engagements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure business success.
  • Present comprehensive service offerings to prospective clients.
  • Ensure effective communication of project plans and updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Stay informed about all rental products, pricing, terms, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Preferred educational background includes an Associate's, Vocational, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of three years of B2B direct sales experience in the equipment industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the rental sector is advantageous.
  • A background in pump equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in selling products with a service component is beneficial.
  • Previous roles in construction management as a foreman or superintendent are a plus.
  • Strong skills in business development and customer retention are essential.

Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of rental processes, customer service, and sales strategies.
  • Proven success in outside sales, particularly in construction or related fields.
  • A robust network of contacts within the construction and contractor industries.
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and effectively manage your territory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and demands through analytical problem-solving.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
