About the Role

Cox Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are in good working condition and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify any maintenance or repair needs and ensure that all issues are addressed promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet the needs of the business.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that all maintenance and repair needs are met.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to maintenance technicians to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role, preferably in a fleet maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures, including diagnostic and repair techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance and repair issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certification in a relevant area, such as brakes or electrical systems.
  • Experience with fleet management software and other related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols, including OSHA regulations.
