Responsibilities
TranSystems Corporation is seeking a dedicated Transportation Engineer with expertise in Project Management Oversight to enhance our engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:


- Oversee project management for federal clients, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, design and quality standards, and comply with all federal regulations.

- Collaborate with various local, state, and federal stakeholders on transportation improvement initiatives, both large and small scale.

- Independently tackle complex tasks while consulting with Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and Senior Planners on technical challenges.

- Engage in the management of smaller projects or segments of larger projects, supervising and coordinating the work of junior engineers, planners, and technicians.

- Consult with clients and superiors on technical issues related to engineering and planning.

- Coordinate team tasks and monitor progress with all project staff.

- Organize and actively participate in client meetings and interviews.

- Prepare reports, proposals, graphics, and presentation materials.

- Propose innovative ideas to advance projects and enhance the company's operational capabilities.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 7-10 years of professional experience in a variety of transportation-related projects.

- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer.

- Experience in capital projects, construction, planning, public administration, or related fields.

- Background in transit, rail, and transportation infrastructure.

- Proven project management experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various software systems.

- A collaborative approach to problem-solving, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging team learning.

- Advocacy for inclusivity in the workplace, promoting diversity and equity for all employees, partners, clients, and communities served by TranSystems.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Primavera/Scheduling and Cost Estimating.

- Local residency.
