Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project management for federal clients, ensuring projects adhere to timelines, budgets, design standards, and quality criteria while complying with all relevant federal regulations.
- Collaborate with various local, state, and federal stakeholders on transportation improvement initiatives, both large and small scale.
- Independently tackle complex challenges, consulting with Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and Senior Planners as necessary.
- Engage in the management of smaller projects or specific phases within larger initiatives, supervising and reviewing the work of junior engineers, planners, and technicians.
- Consult with management and clients regarding technical issues in engineering and planning.
- Coordinate team tasks and monitor progress with all project staff.
- Organize and actively participate in client meetings and discussions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, graphics, and presentation materials.
- Propose innovative ideas and concepts to enhance project outcomes and the company's operational capabilities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in a variety of transportation-related projects.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
- Experience in capital projects, construction, planning, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Background in transit, rail, and transportation infrastructure.
- Proven project management experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various software systems.
- Ability to engage diverse perspectives in problem-solving and promote collaborative learning among team members.
- Advocate for inclusivity in the workplace, fostering an environment that values diversity and equity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Primavera/Scheduling and Cost Estimating.
- Local candidates are preferred.
