Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity. This role requires a dedicated professional who will engage in a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced systems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer and operational requirements to define and coordinate system performance specifications, integrating technical parameters to ensure compatibility across all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
  • Conduct various analyses aimed at optimizing the overall system architecture.
  • Perform evaluations concerning affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, and other critical quality factors to guarantee mission success.
  • Develop and enhance processes for requirements management, risk assessment, and technology readiness.
  • Resolve technical issues that span multiple functions.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing and motivating team members.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FAA certification or airworthiness processes.
  • Leadership experience in multi-disciplinary teams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing large projects or programs utilizing project management methodologies.
  • Technical expertise in areas such as Flight & Ground Loads, Noise & Vibration, Flutter, Strength, Fatigue, and Aerodynamics.
  • Background in financial analysis, integrated scheduling, business development, and supplier management.
  • Military certification experience, particularly in software.

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field is required. Candidates with a Master's degree or PhD and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule: Full-time, first shift, with standard working hours.
