As we continue to expand, we are looking for a strategic individual to join our dynamic, remote-first team, which has recently grown from 40 to 60 members. Our recent Series B funding from esteemed investors aligns with our ambitious goals.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Growth Strategy Manager to enhance Spark's growth trajectory by developing one of the following markets:

  • Chicago
  • Cleveland

  • Philadelphia
  • Phoenix

  • Upstate New York
  • Utah

In collaboration with our sales and marketing teams, you will spearhead the go-to-market strategy for your designated area, focusing on recruiting new Medicare agencies. You will take charge of business development, driving the initial stages of our sales funnel through proactive outreach to potential Medicare agencies, both in-person and virtually. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire sales process, including product demonstrations, contract negotiations, and closing deals.

Additionally, you will work closely with Spark's Marketing team to enhance brand visibility in your market and with the Agent Success team to ensure effective onboarding and support for contracted agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Proactively reach out to Medicare agencies, effectively communicate Spark's value proposition, and establish qualified sales opportunities.
  • Closing Deals: Conduct comprehensive product demonstrations, customize the Spark offering to address prospects' needs, create partnership proposals, negotiate contract terms, and secure commitments for collaboration.
  • Brand Advocacy: Acquire an in-depth understanding of the market, foster local relationships with agencies, carriers, and providers, organize recruitment events and webinars, and consistently promote Spark through various channels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience managing broker relationships within a Medicare insurance carrier
  • Established relationships with Medicare agency owners or principals
  • Strong passion for sales and market development
  • Creative and tenacious approach to generating new business opportunities
  • Exceptional skills in prospecting, product demonstrations, and negotiations
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with sales engagement software and CRM systems
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 for positions in specific locations, determined by market data and individual qualifications.
  • Uncapped commission based on new Medicare enrollments.
  • Eligibility for equity participation.
