We are currently on the lookout for a Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly. This role is pivotal in enhancing, refining, and sustaining both automated and manual assembly manufacturing practices. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams to optimize industrial processes, aiming to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, promote sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and strategize workflow, machine functionality, and equipment layout to enhance assembly processes.
  • Design and execute hands-on evaluations to assess manufacturing processes.
  • Gather insights from operators and setup technicians to inform process improvements.
  • Research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment based on product requirements.
  • Calculate production, labor, and material costs to support manufacturing decisions.
  • Engage with equipment vendors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair services to keep equipment operational, adhering to established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.
  • Create and manage documentation and operating instructions for processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Process or Machinery Engineer.
  • Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, metal stamping, and automated assembly.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks, Pro-E, Inventor, AutoCad, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Tools.
  • Knowledge of PLC Programming.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in industrial automation.
  • Understanding of electrical cables, connectors, and testing procedures.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience in quality or business process engineering.
