Currently, NSi Industries is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer - Diecast. This role primarily focuses on the development, enhancement, and maintenance of diecast manufacturing best practices. The ideal candidate will be adept at refining industrial processes to lower costs, boost efficiency, enhance sustainability, and maximize profitability in collaboration with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance molding and secondary processes through workflow analysis, machine functionality assessment, and equipment layout planning.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and executing hands-on assessments.
  • Gather insights from operators and setup technicians.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Provide crucial manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Engage with equipment vendors for optimal solutions.
  • Ensure equipment functionality by coordinating maintenance and repair services, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and established procedures.
  • Assess compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.
  • Create and manage process documentation and operational instructions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer.
  • Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, metal stamping, and automated assembly.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks, Pro-E, Inventor, AutoCad, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in zinc diecasting.
  • Knowledge of electrical cables, connectors, and electrical testing.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
  • Prior experience in quality or business process engineering.
