Job Description

We are seeking Associate Attorneys (both new and seasoned) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law, estates, and wills and trusts, with a strong focus on family law.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starting attorney to join our team and hit the ground running. The position will require practicing law, with a billable requirement that allows for a great work-life balance.

The successful candidate will work closely with our clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. If you have the ability to handle a diverse caseload, have stellar research and writing skills, can communicate effectively, and use today's technology well, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Handle client cases from beginning to end, working collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence.
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients, analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action.
  • Represent clients in court, arguing motions during legal proceedings.
  • Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution.
Requirements
  • First Chair Trial Experience
  • Ability to practice law in Idaho.
  • 2-3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis).
  • Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years.
  • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
