We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney II - Municipal to join our team. As an Attorney II - Municipal, you will provide legal advice and representation to the City of Boise, ID, and its departments, boards, and commissions. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

• Provide legal advice and representation to the City of Boise, ID, and its departments, boards, and commissions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve the City's goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations and provide training and guidance to City staff as needed.

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 2 years of experience in civil or criminal litigation or municipal governance.
• Strong knowledge of civil and criminal law, court rules, and trial procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 4 years of experience in a prosecutor's office or managing a significant caseload.
• Demonstrated researching and writing experience drafting memoranda, legislation, ordinances, and contracts.
• Experience advising a legal entity, association, board, commission, or committee.
