District Sales Representative

Gordon Food Service is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships, developing new business, and providing innovative solutions to our customers in the food service industry.
Key Responsibilities- Pursue New Customers
- Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within your territory
- Identify and research prospective customers within your territory
- Develop sales strategies that highlight products, services, values, and solutions offered by Gordon Food Service and present the sales strategy to prospective customers
- Deepen and Strengthen Existing Customer Relationships
- Visit all customers within the assigned territory on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis
- Conduct business reviews to determine existing customers' needs and areas of opportunity for growing sales
- Provide ongoing training to customers on Gordon Food Service product offerings
- Sales Territory Management
- Balance new customers' acquisition and deepening and strengthening existing customer relationships
- Coordinate visits to prospective customers and existing customers
- Communicate order status and order processing updates to customers
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred
- 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience
- Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to obtain your food safety certification
