About the Role

Gordon Food Service is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships, developing new business, and providing innovative solutions to our customers in the food service industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue New Customers: Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within your territory, identify and research prospective customers, and develop sales strategies that highlight products, services, values, and solutions offered by Gordon Food Service.
  • Deepen and Strengthen Existing Customer Relationships: Visit all customers within the assigned territory on a regular basis, conduct business reviews to determine existing customers' needs and areas of opportunity for growing sales, and provide ongoing training to customers on Gordon Food Service product offerings.
  • Sales Territory Management: Balance new customers' acquisition and deepening and strengthening existing customer relationships, coordinate visits to prospective customers and existing customers, and communicate order status and order processing updates to customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED is required, Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
  • Skills: Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, ability to obtain food safety certification.
