Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our dynamic organization. This role is based at our Corporate Headquarters and involves critical financial analysis and reporting.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in preparing and maintaining profitability assessments, focusing on various products, delivery methods, and member households. This position will also support the annual budgeting process by collaborating with leaders across essential business units to formulate departmental forecasts aligned with strategic objectives, market trends, and economic predictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating product pricing strategies, including deposit and loan rate recommendations based on market conditions and balance sheet analysis.
  • Collaborate with different departments to provide research and insights for pricing and profitability analysis requests.
  • Support the preparation and reporting of necessary regulatory documents and analyses in compliance with NCUA regulations, focusing on liquidity, interest rate, and credit risk assessments.
  • Facilitate the annual regulatory examination process by compiling required reports and analyses.
  • Contribute to the annual financial statement audit and periodic internal audits.
  • Deliver business intelligence by translating risk assessments into effective balance sheet strategies while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in creating and analyzing presentations for Senior Management, the Asset & Liability Management Committee (ALCO), and the Board of Directors, including ALM and balance sheet modeling, liquidity management, variance analysis, and key financial ratios.
  • Organize meetings with business units to determine data requirements for strategic decision-making.
  • Work with Information Technology to extract and analyze raw data from our systems.
  • Identify trends and insights from data analysis to provide actionable information to Senior Management for optimizing organizational performance.
  • Review quarterly ALM reports for accuracy and relevance.
  • Engage in special projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Adhere to CFA Institute's policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a financial institution is advantageous.
