Position Overview:

The Lead Financial Analyst will report directly to the General Ledger Accounting Manager. Key responsibilities encompass general ledger management, financial reporting, and various special projects as assigned.

This position demands exceptional analytical skills in finance and accounting, with a particular emphasis on tax regulations and audit requirements for U.S. operations. Collaboration with local accounting teams and GT's tax division to identify optimal solutions is both encouraged and expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting practices and workflows, ensuring adherence to the firm's accounting standards during the month-end closing process.
  • Manage general ledger accounting and asset management.
  • Facilitate month-end reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist treasury and payment operations by reviewing and authorizing wire transfers.
  • Ensure timely completion of all necessary reconciliations, including those between Aderant and local statutory systems; conduct account analyses.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
  • Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and Tax department by gathering and preparing essential information for performance assessments.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with accounting principles.
  • Document business processes and accounting policies, identifying errors and proposing enhancements to internal controls.
  • Participate in the department's goal-setting initiatives, driving improvements in processes and policies.
  • Maintain the Accounting/Finance department SharePoint site with all relevant documentation.

  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable workflows, Concur, and associated foreign exchange and tax implications.
  • Basic understanding of Aderant (ERP) entries and related foreign exchange and tax implications.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required (Master's in Accounting is preferred).
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience in a legal or service-oriented industry; Big Four experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with specialized applications (CMS/Aderant Expert and/or Concur) is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
